Teaching

My teaching centers around gender, technology, and materiality, with a focus on qualitative methods and sociology of education.

In my classes, I discuss classic theoretical literature alongside current societal and political events. I have taught courses on socio-materiality as it manifests in different aspects of everyday life. These courses have examined, among other topics, the materialities of schools and universities, the increasingly technologized spaces of domestic life, and the (gendered) role of service robotics. In addition, I introduce theoretical perspectives on technology, including feminist and new materialist discussions, which provide students with conceptual tools to critically interrogate the entanglements of bodies, technologies, and social orders.
